Returns
We want you to love what you ordered! If something isn't right, we accept returns under the following conditions:
- Items must be returned within 14 days of the delivery date.
- Items must be unworn, unwashed, and undamaged, with all original tags still attached.
- Items must be free of makeup, deodorant, perfume, or odor from smoke or pets.
- Swimwear must have the hygiene liner still attached.
- Final sale items (marked as such at checkout — including clearance, closeout, and discounted items) are not eligible for return or exchange.
- For hygiene reasons, earrings and other pierced jewelry are final sale and cannot be returned.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect (see below).
How to Start a Return
- Email [theshadytreeboutique@gmail.com] with your order number and the item(s) you'd like to return.
- We'll confirm your return is eligible and send you the return address.
- Pack the item securely with your packing slip or order number included.
- Once we receive and inspect the return, we'll process your refund or exchange within 5–7 business days.
Refunds
- Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except in cases of our error (wrong item shipped, defective product, etc.).
- Please allow 5–10 business days after we process the refund for it to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- If you'd prefer, we're happy to issue store credit instead of a refund to your original payment method — just let us know when you request your return.
Exchanges
Want a different size or color instead of a refund? Let us know when you reach out to start your return, and we'll get the new item reserved for you as soon as we receive your original item back. If there's a price difference, we'll follow up about covering it.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery at [theshadytreeboutique@gmail.com] with your order number and a photo of the issue. We'll make it right with a free replacement, exchange, or full refund — including return shipping costs in these cases.
Sale, Clearance & Final Sale Items
Items marked Final Sale, Clearance, or purchased with a discount code over [X]% are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund unless the item arrives damaged or defective.
Order Cancellations
Orders can be canceled for a full refund within [2 hours] of being placed, as long as the order hasn't already shipped. After that window, we're unable to cancel but you're welcome to return the item once it arrives, per the policy above.
